Auto login tweak for Windows 7, Vista and XP

Of course, having a (good) user password in Windows it is important to maintain security in the system, especially the tendency of that OS to give administrator rights to users by default.  In a laptop, it is highly recommended to keep the password each time you enter / leave the system because it is obviously much more exposed to possible theft.

But even if you don’t fill one in, you still have to click your user icon to start the login process. But if this is a home desktop PC, or an installation in a virtual machine, or simply do not have important data, nothing like activate the “auto login” to us let the computer directly to the desktop after a reset.

This tip works for both Windows 7 and Windows XP:

1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to launch the “Run” dialog box.
2. Type in control userpasswords2 (for XP and Windows 7) and Netplwiz (for Vista)
3. Press Enter. The User Accounts window will display.
4. Uncheck the option “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”
5. Click “OK”
6. You will then be prompted to enter the current password and confirm it.
7. After doing so, you will no longer be prompted to enter your password upon login.

How to bypass Windows Login and Automatically Login to Account

For people who use their computer alone password is not a big issue and some even want to do away with it. Well it is possible but user has to go through tedious system setting configurations. If someone wants to avoid these time consuming stuff all he has to do is install Autologon For Windows.

Autologon is extremely easy to use with a single working interface. All the user has to do is launch this program and enter the user account data and select the enable or disable button. And the next thing will be that you don’t have to bother about entering the user details or even password.

What this software does is takes the data then encrypts it and saves it in the windows registry if the logon feature is enabled. Hence windows bypasses the logon screen and automatically logs on to the selected user. Autologon helps the windows to fill the user name and domain automatically.
It also has the option to change these details if required. If at anytime the user feels like undoing this facility he can do that by entering the data of his account and selecting the disable button on the interface. If you want to disable it only for a session then it can be done by pressing and holding the shift key.

Trick To Lock Your Computer With Usb:PREDATOR

Make Menu Load Faster in Windows XP

This is one of my favorite tweaks as it makes a huge difference to your machine. You will feel very fast browsing on your ‘menus’. What this tweak does is remove the slight delay between clicking on a menu and XP displaying the menu.

Go to Start & then Run
Type ‘Regedit’ then click ‘Ok’
Find “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\”
Select “MenuShowDelay”
Right click and select “Modify’ or just simply Double Click on “MenuShowDelay”.
Reduce the number to around “100”
This is the delay time before a menu is opened. You can set it to “0” but it can make windows really hard to use as menus will open if you just look at them – well move your mouse over them anyway. I tend to go for anywhere between 50-150 depending on my mood.
Then Click OK & Close Everything.
Just Restart your Computer.
